Mrs Della Mae Rauls

RAULS, Mrs. Della Mae - Age 77, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, TX. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM Rev. Cal Towner officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Saturday. Mr. Rauls will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday. Mrs. Della Mae (Berry) Rauls was born September 13, 1938 in Rison, Arkansas, the 3rd of 4 children born to Roosevelt and Virba Lee Berry. She attended school in Rison, AR where she met and married her late husband, George Rauls. To this union 9 children were born. Mr. & Mrs. Rauls later moved to Chicago, IL in 1959 where she was gainfully employed at O’Hare Field. She later moved to Flint, Michigan to care for her father in 1974 where she worked for many years at the YWCA. Mrs. Rauls hobbies were decorating her house and yard. She loved her flower beds. Mrs. Rauls also loved shopping for clothes, shoes, purses, hats and household items. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior later in life and became a member of True Light Missionary Baptist Church. She attended church regularly until her health began to fail. Mrs. Della Mae Rauls leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Sabrenda (William) Ivory of Flint and Jacqueline (Paul) Calip of Lindale, TX; 4 sons, Carmen (Brenda) Rauls of Phoenix, AZ, Ricky (Sherry) Rauls, Larvelt Rauls and Keith Rauls, all of Flint; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Deonca Miller; special sister-in-law, Curtistene Rauls; god-daughter, Evelyn Valentine; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Shirley Roshell, Shirley Luckado, Roberta Tyler, Jerry & Mrs. Lee. Mrs. Rauls was preceded in death by her husband, George Rauls; 3 daughters, Barbara Rauls, Joann Rauls and Melvina Rauls; grandson, Alvin O. Rauls; parents, Roosevelt and Virba Lee Berry; 2 sisters, Melva Jean Oliver and Ruth Burnett; 2 brothers, Roosevelt Berry, Jr. and Daryl Miller. The family would like to express special thanks to East Texas Medical Center and Dr. A. Lee.
