BROACH, Mr. Davis Jr. - Age 84, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Majestic Care Center. Family hour 10:30 AM Thursday, October 3, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Patrick Sanders, officiating. Interment, Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St., Flint, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Thursday. Mr. Broach will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Davis “Dave” Broach Jr. was born in Decatur, Mississippi, on December 16, 1939, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Davis (Caroline) Broach. He grew into a truly remarkable man whose charm and warmth touched everyone he met. Known for his handsome appearance and debonair style, Dave was always impeccably dressed, sporting his signature “stingy brim” and a warm smile that could light up any room. Dave had a heart of gold; you could not come within arm’s reach of him without him reaching into his pocket and pulling out something to give. He was a gifted storyteller; delighting his friends and family with tales that brought laughter and joy. Dave had a zest for life that was evident in all he did. For over 30 years, Dave dedicated himself to his work at Fisher Body, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, and bowling. Dave loved his family. His nieces and nephews lovingly called him “Uncle Dave.” He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Dave leave to cherish 2 sisters Effie Welch and Dina Broach both of Flint, MI ; 2 Brothers J. P. (Bertha) Broach of Flint; Marvin Broach of Grand Rapids and a host of other relatives and friends. Throughout his life, Dave was blessed with the companionship of many individuals, including Peggy Tiggs and family, who shared in his experiences. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Caroline Broach; father, Davis Broach; grandmother, Effie Norman; brothers, J.V. Broach, Willie Broach, Charlie Broach, Sr.; sisters, Nettie Jewel Benson, and Velma Pearl Broach.
