COX, Mr. Darwin - Age 56, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Family Hour 10:00 AM Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home 906 W. Flint Park Blvd with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Kenneth Stewart officiating, interment at Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Family and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home at 10 AM Saturday. Mr. Cox will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd and may be viewed from 1:00PM to 8:00 PM Friday. Mr. Darwin Earl Cox was born December 14, 1959 in Flint Michigan, the son of Adolphus and Jewell Marie Cox. Mr. Cox enjoyed life to the fullest until his health failed him. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and often enjoyed studying God’s Word with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, playing chess, and harmonizing with family and friends during karaoke sessions. He was an avid sports fan and a great lover of music. Mr. Cox was also a movie buff. He was the go to man when you wanted to know anything about movies, and which actor/actress played in the movie by their name including the name of the movie. Mr. Darwin Earl Cox leaves to cherish his precious memories, the love of his life, Wife Loretta Kenebrew-Cox; Son Darwin Dequan (Cecilia) Cox of Denver Colorado, Daughters Keonya Wilson, Donshay Kenebrew of Flint Michigan. Mother Jewell Marie Cox of Flint Michigan, Sister LaTanga (Tyrone) Christmas of Port Huron, Michigan, 3 Sister in laws Betty Williams of Lathrop California, Iva Corthion and Sonya (Darryl) Kenebrew of Flint, Michigan: 2 Brother in laws Kenneth (Andrea) Williams of Spring Hill Florida, Larry (Verna) Kenebrew of Flint Michigan. Uncles, Rev. Roosevelt (Birdie) Brown of Mt Morris Michigan, Frank Harper of Flint Michigan. Aunts Arlene Cox, Christeen Cox, Lucy White, Betty Lamar, all of Flint Michigan, Marsha Brown of Otisville Michigan, Darkus (Joe) Galloway of Newton Texas , Susie L. Brown of Mt Morris Michigan, Helen Brown of Detroit Michigan, Jean Blair-Brown of Flint Michigan. Mr. Darwin Earl Cox was preceded in death by his father Adolphus Cox, Mother in law Katherine Kenebrew, Sister in law Betty Smith, Brother in law Clifford Williams, niece Clibette Williams. Grand Parents Mack Dan and Bettie Cox, Sr. Uncles Mack Cox Jr., Fred Cox, John Cox, Rev. William A. Cox, Jordan E. Cox, Earnest Lock, Jim Brown, and Samuel Brown.
