Mr. Danny Laroy Rose Sr.

ROSE, Mr. Danny Laroy Sr. - Age 65, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, April 26, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM Pastor Bruce Rose, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Friday. Mr. Rose will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday.Danny Laroy Rose Sr. was born on May 30th, 1958 in Ellsworth Air Force Base in South, Dakota, to the union of Charles & Anna Florence (Pettigrew) Rose. He attended Jefferson Elementary and Flint Northwestern High School. Danny accepted Christ at an early age and later united with Greater Holy Ground Ministries under the leadership of Elder G. Porter in Flint Michigan. Danny married Veronica "Ronnie" Wallace in 1977. They were blessed with two wonderful sons, Danny Il and Gerald Rose. He was previously employed with AC Spark Plug, a division of General Motors Corporation. Danny's hobbies included talking and meeting people who were never strangers to him. If he wasn't talking, he was always singing and playing checkers, etc. Danny Laroy Rose Sr. is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Veronica "Ronnie" Rose; two sons, Danny ll (Reneshia) Rose and Gerald (Le'Sha) Rose, all of Flint, MI; brother, Frederick " Freddie" of Hammond, IN; sister, Donna Towels of Terre Haute, IN; 12 grandchildren, Giana, Jaylin, Danyel, Laila, Lajayia, La’Shayla, Taron, Skylar, Odjanae, Bri’elle, Reality and A’Jream; four uncles, Robert, Bruce, Kevin, all of Indianapolis, IN and Charles Williams of Dayton, OH; three aunts, Carolyn Owens of Trotwood, OH, Viola Ladd of Terre Haute, IN, Jill Rose and Edith Rose, both of Indianapolis, IN; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and many friends. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anna Florence; four brothers, Anthony "Tony", Stanley, Charles “Chuckie” Rose, and Kenny Rose; sister, Sherrie; 2 aunts; grandchildren, Bryson and Rhiann; niece, Shayla Rose; nephew, James "Jimmy" Rose. The family would like to express a special shout out to his homies, Burt Lancaster, Lorenzo "Butch" Reed and Raymond "Wolf" Tyler.
