MILLER, Mr. Collin - Age 93, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, June 20, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawerence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM, Rev. Linda Boddie, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Friday. Mr. Miller will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Thursday, June 19, 2026. Mr. Collin Miller was born April 22, 1932, in Crittendon County, Earle, Arkansas, the son of James and Maggie (Farr) Miller. Collin was baptized at an early age at Zion Chapel Methodist Church in Earle, AR and he never failed to pray. He moved to Flint, Michigan and was employed at Buick Motor Company, a division of General Motors Corporation as a Machine Operator/Setup Man. Collin retired after 36 years of service to care for his ailing wife, Stean who he adored. Collin was a car enthusiast, and he loved repairing and detailing them. He also loved gardening, listening to the Blues, watching westerns, barbecuing, entertaining company and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Latoya, who cared for him to the end, along with his nephew, James Miller. Collin could hold a conversation about any subject matter that was going on in the world. He always gave sound advice. His favorite quotes were, “if you listen to me, I will tell you something.” And “Hold on to your britches, Trump is in office.” Collin loved his family and had a special bond with his granddaughter, Latoya, who was the apple of his eye and stood by him until the end. He loved riding around with his grandson, Lorenzo, while watching the ladies and making comments about which one he would choose. Collin had a special bond with his nephew, James Miller, who was a loyal loving nephew and traveling companion. He never missed calling and coming to see his uncle. He also loved talking to his nieces, Linda Faye and Dematrice. Mr. Collin Miller leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Linda Miller-Wilkerson; 2 sons, Darnell and Kenneth; grandchildren, Anthony (Cheryl) Verdun, Twayna Powell, Antonio Powell, Shetoria (Aubrey) Walker, Fanta (Tanya) Carter, Lorenzo Wilkerson II, Kamera Bond, Kendalyn Avant, Jhor’Den and Dawan Carrington; 40 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Novella Miller, Cora Miller and Varnessa Price; brother-in-law, Lawrence Bradley; a host of other relatives and friends including, Pearlie Sims, Cheryl Ferguson, Bill (Sharon) Frieson, the Golden family, Valerie Miller-Wise, Craig Murphy, Wade Garvins, Tracie McNeal, Mike Hambrick, Troy Miller, Linda and Robert Boddie, Dematrice Miller and Alvin Lewis. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Earnestean Bradley Miller; daughter, Rubystean Miller-Verdun; parents, James and Maggie Miller; siblings, Alvis, Clara, Murry, Ellen, L.B., Moell, J.W., James, Jerry and William; and niece, Rosie Miller Franklin
