Mr. Clifton Ross

ROSS, Mr. Clifton - Age 72, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at his residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, April 1, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Saturday. Mr. Ross will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Mr. Clifton Ross age 72, was born June 14, 1950 in Elaine, Arkansas, the son of Roscoe Benton Sr. and Luelza Ross. Clifton attended Lakeview School in Arkansas. He received his G.E.D. from Flint Community Schools. Clifton worked in various positions throughout his career including, retail and manufacturing. He was a hard worker. Clifton enjoyed laughter and family. He loved singing, was good a playing Chess and Dominoes. Clifton also loved card games and watching the WWE. He have his life to Christ at a young age. Cliff was a fun and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered for the lives he touched. Mr. Clifton Ross is survived by: daughter, Latanya (Joshua) Ross-Young; 8 grandchildren, Hezekiah Sr., Seanice, Dashawnn, LaNayah, Taraji, David Jr., Izekial and Jahirree; 2 great-grandchildren, Cnianah, and Hezekiah Jr., all of Sacramento, CA; 2 sisters, Billie Lynn Wright of Flint, MI and and Veramay Franklin of Chicago, IL; brother, David Benton of Flint, MI; a host of nieces and nephews including special nieces and nephews, Mary (Alonso) Huddleston, Tasheen Shotwell, Tamike Wright and Larry Sanders; a host of other relatives and friend including special friends, Barbara Wines, Ezell Grayson and Willie Williams. Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe Benton Sr. and Luelza Ross; sisters, Josephine (Elijah) Rainey, Ora Lee Sanders and Ruby (Grant) Pickens; brother-in-law, Julius Wright Sr.; nieces, Alberta Freeman, Torina Benton and Shaqunda Jackson-Wright; nephews, Earnest Williams and Julius Wright Jr.; great-nephews, Sir Dequarion Silk and Antonio Storey.
