COLLIER, Mr. Bradley Walter, Jr. - Age 42, passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 in New York City, NY. Family hour 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Vernon Chapel A.M.E. Church, 5802 Dupont Street, with funeral service commencing at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. Mickarl Thomas, Sr. officiating. Pastor Eric C. Bogan, Eulogist. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery G-4200 Belford Rd. Holly, MI. Family and friends will assemble at the church 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Collier will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. There will be no public viewing. Mr. Bradley Walter Collier, Jr. was born September 25, 1969 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Bradley and Gloria Collier. He attended Flint Public Schools graduating from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1988.” Bradley Jr. enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served and fought in Desert Storm and was Honorably Discharged from the service. He loved fashion, which led him to working as a Visual Merchandise Manager with Abercrombie & Fitch of New York. Bradley Jr. always wore a handsome smile and was known as a natural mediator with a huge heart and a giving spirit. Mr. Bradley Walter Collier, Jr. is survived by his father, Bradley W. (Carolyn) Collier, Sr.; grandfather, Lee (Helen) Haymon; siblings, Amy (Antonio) Jenkins, Patricia (George) Harrison, Collin Brown II, all of Flint and Benika Collier of Overland Park, KS; step-siblings, Carl Fitzpatrick of Chicago, IL, Michael Fitzpatrick of Harrison, Twp., MI and Carolyn (Keith) Black of Macomb Twp., MI; aunt, Tracy Collier-Nix; uncles, Gary (Cassandra) Collier and Edward Townsend; 6 nieces including special niece, Zsa Qana (Deontai) Nelson of Flint; 10 nephews; a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Mr. Collier was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Collier; grandmothers, Ralphene Collier and Myrtle Haymon; aunt, Shirley Wilson; uncles, Jeffery Harris and Craig Townsend and step-father, Collin Brown.
