HUDSON, Ms. Billie Ruth - Age 66, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at McLaren - Flint. Family hour 10 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 6415 N. Clio Rd., Mt. Morris, MI., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. Wallace Hill officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Monday. Ms. Hudson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Billie Ruth Hudson was born March 20, 1949 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Bennie Lee and Fannie Mae Bizzle, Sr. She moved to Flint, Michigan at the age of nine and attended the Flint Public School System, graduating from Northwestern, “Class of 1967.” She was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. Billie was employed with the United States Postal Service for 33 years. She was an avid bowler and a member of many different organizations such as, American Business Women’s Association and Women’s International Bowling Congress. Billie enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping, traveling, casinos and watching sports; especially the Detroit Lions and Pistons. She loved her family and friends, especially her youngest great-granddaughter, Sasha. She also relished spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, all whom will miss her dearly! Mrs. Billie Ruth Hudson leaves to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Carmen Hudson of Murfreesboro, TN, Monica and Kimberly Hudson, both of Flint; son, Jeffrey Hudson of Murfreesboro, TN; 6 grandchildren, Antionette and Shelsea Hudson both of Murfreesboro, TN, DaRiesha Bobo of Flint, Chikeyta Benford of Pontiac, MI, De’Quindre Bobo of Novi, MI, and DaVidien Bobo of Arlington, TX; 7 great-grandchildren, Breyana and Kaiyana Bobo both of Indianapolis, IN, Aiyana Bobo of Saginaw, MI, Sasha Marie Hudson of Murfreesboro, TN, Braylon, DaVidien, Jr. and Jordyn Bobo, all of Flint; brother, Robert (Renia) Bizzle of Flint; aunt, Johnnie Mae Hill of Arkadelphia, AR; 7 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Tee Willie (Lonell) Cobb of Fairborn, OH, Ora Pearl Hannah, Elizabeth and Maccen Hudson, Avis Bizzle, all of Flint, and Mary Nell Hudson of Selmer, TN; 4 brothers-in-law, Joe and Curtis Hudson, Jimmie Turner, Sr., all of Flint, and Homer (Myrtle) Hudson of Memphis, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Alicia Powell, Gurline Overton, Barbara Malone and Verlie Wallace. Mrs. Billie Ruth Hudson was preceded in death by: husband, Robert Lewis Hudson, Sr.; her son, Robert Lewis, Jr.; parents, Bennie Lee, Sr. and Fannie Mae Bizzle; grandparents, Willis & Annie Lou Bizzle and Robert & Birdie Lee Hill; brother, Bennie Lee, Jr.; 2 aunts; uncle; sister-in-law, Junnie Phifer-Chattmon; special friend, Linda Flynn.
