Beatrice Temple

TEMPLE, Mother Beatrice - Age 92, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Fenton Extended Care. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Living Word Ministry, 2001 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Eld. Donald Massey officiating. Rev. Robert Rosborough Pastor. Interment Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, 2020 E. Hill Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Saturday. Mother Temple will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1PM-8PM Friday. Mother Beatrice Temple was born October 9, 1914 in Decatur, Mississippi, the daughter of George McCurtis and Etoyl Broach. She accepted the Lord at a young age and became a member of the Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder Berry Belt, where she served as a Deaconess and on the Mother's Board. Mother Temple moved to Flint, MI in 1966 and became a member of Living Word Ministry, where she also served on the Mother's Board. Her life was totally committed to Jesus Christ. Mother Temple was a kind and gracious lady with a wonderful personality and a beautiful smile. She loved her family and friends very much, and they loved her. Mother Beatrice Temple leaves to cherish her memory: son, Willie L. (Martha) Temple of Moss Point, MS; daughter, Mary B. (Floyd) Woolfolk of Grand Blanc, MI; 8 grandchildren, Keith and Kimberly Woolfolk, Melanie (Kelvin) Smith of Flint, Adrienne Woolfolk of Warren, MI, Cornelius (Renee') Temple of Maple Ridge, Canada, Marlene (George) Thompson of Escatawpa, MS, Carlton (Pat) McClain of Montgomery, AL, and Dietrich McClain of Moss Point, MS; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; cousins, Mrs. Geneva Roberts, Mr. Cecil Norman, Mr. Jack (Sarah) Norman, all of Flint, Marjorie Johnson of Newton, MS and Mr. James Gamble of Jackson, MS; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Mother Evelyn Rutledge, Sister Melba Smith, Sister Carrie Applewhite and Sister Yolanda Thomas. Mother Temple was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Temple; 2 brothers, Walter and Amos Broach; sister, Louise Hawkins; great-grandson, Martin Xavier Smith. The family would like to express special thanks to the Living Word Ministry Church family, the staff of Fenton Extended Care Center and Loving Hand Day Care.
