BROWN, Ms. Barbara Yvonne - Age 44, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 at her residence. Family Hour 10:30 AM Saturday, April 13, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Eld. Jesse McIntosh, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the chapel 10:30 AM Friday, April 12, 2024. Ms. Brown will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed Friday, April 12, 2024 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Barbara Yvonne Brown, age 44, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born on December 11, 1979, in Flint, Michigan, to Eva Patricia Brown and Stanley Brown Sr. Barbara was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her. She was a loving mother, devoted daughter, sister, and friend. Barbara’s passion for life was evident in everything she did, from her academic achievements to her entrepreneurial pursuits. Barbara graduated from Cranbrook Kingswood Preparatory School in 1998 and went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2005. Barbara was a dedicated student and excelled in her studies. In addition to her academic pursuits, Barbara was an entrepreneur with a passion for creativity and had a love for creating culinary delights. She enjoyed crocheting and had a successful candle making business. Barbara’s entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to her craft were an inspiration to all who knew her. Barbara had a heart of gold and loved working with people. She had a special gift for making others feel valued and appreciated. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who crossed her path. Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace, knowing she made a profound impact on the lives of so many. Barbara was preceded in death by her most beloved and only child, Briana Elise Brown; grandmother, Berneice Lillian Reynolds; grandfather, William Frederick Reynolds; grandfather on father’s side, Claude Isaac Brown; and grandmother, MerriLee Brown aka Granny. Barbara Yvonne Brown is survived by: beloved mother, Eva Brown; father, Stanley (Shirley) Brown Sr.; brothers, Aaron Reynolds and Stanley (JJ) Brown Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and friends. The family would like to expess special thanks to cousins, Lloyd, Cynthia, Lydia, Rebekah, and Ashley; aunties, Etta, Ida Maria, and Sam; uncle Bill; close family friends Lynette and Rod.
