DIXSON, Mother Artie - Age 86, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 at her residence. Mother Dixson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Monday, August 10, 2020 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Interment Great lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. ARTIE B. DIXSON was born to Toney Taylor and Bertha Taylor-Ashton on November 2nd, 1933 in McCaskill, Arkansas. Mother Dixson relocated to Flint, MI with her family at a young age when her Father came to work at the Buick Factory. She attended Parkland Elementary, Emerson Jr. High and Graduated at Northern High School. She also attended Mott Community College to obtain her Home Care License and did. ARTIE B. DIXSON married in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life; Pastor Emeritus Herbert B. Dixson in 1959. They were married "63" Blessed years. They have four Supporting and Loving Children: H.B. Dixson Jr. of Rochester MI, Artie Dixson-Tyler of Flint, Toni (Daryl) Dixson-Buford of Saginaw and Darrell (Carol) Dixson of Manistique; Three GrandDaughters: Tova (Sam) Jones of Grand Rapids, MI, Tonia Brantley of Saginaw, MI and Ebony Maddox of Bossier, LA; Two Grandsons, Pastor Kevin (Tonya) Dixson and Keith (Stacie) Dixson, both of Flint. Three Great Grand Sons; Keith (Jennifer) Dixson, Kalen Dixson and Keinyi Dixson of Flint. Two Great GrandDaughters; Kristina Dixson of Flint and Aliviah Jones of Grand Rapids, One Great Great Grandson and Two Great Great GrandDaughters One Sister; Dezeree Newman of Indianapolis, IN. Two Brothers; Matthew Taylor and Jim Taylor of Flint, MI. A Host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. GodDaughter; Cheryl (William) Harrison, and her long time childhood friends; Ms.Dora and Ms. Allen. MOTHER ARTIE B. DIXSON Was known for her Smile that would light up a room. And her warm and loving spirit to all she knew. She was preceded in death by her Husband; Pastor H.B. Dixson, Parents; Toney Taylor, Bertha Taylor-Ashton, Sister; Esther L. Watts, Beloved Cousins; Phyllis Johnson and Odie Taylor and Niece Vann Johnson.
