Mrs. Annie Harris

HARRIS, Mrs. Annie - Age 68, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 11:30 AM Friday. June 23, 2017 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM, Pastor Patrick W. Sanders Sr., officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:30 AM Friday. Mrs. Harris will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 2:00 PM- 8:00 PM Thursday. Annie Mary Harris was December 26, 1948 in Noxubee County Mississippi, the daughter of Cozetta Thomas Steveson and C.T. Thomas. She was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School. She was employed at McLaren Regional Medical Center for 39 years as a Central Processing Aide in the Surgery Department. Annie accepted Christ as her savior in 1971 at the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church under the late Bishop Odis A. Floyd. She served faithfully on the Usher Board and was still a faithful member until her health began to decline. Annie was an expert in all sports and a true Michigan State University, Detroit Lions and L.A. Lakers fan. She was a true definition of a wife, mother and grandmother. Annie was an avid lover of horror films and spending time with love ones. Annie Mary Harris leaves to cherish her memory; husband, Oscar Harris Jr.; daughter, Felisha (Elder Tywan) Feimster; 2 sons, Oscar Harris III and Elder Marqus (LaShann) Harris, all of Flint; grandchildren, Delano (Natalie) Harris, Oshanaha Harris, all of Phoenix, AZ. Torrey Harris of Flint, Gabriel Harris, Anyiaha Harris, both of Cleveland OH, Alecia Harris, Alexandria Harris, and Alana Harris, Reiko Hurd, Tristan D. Feimester, all of Flint; sisters, Martha Irions, Mary Alice Thomas, Annie (Tommie) Harris, Barbara Harris, Carolyn (Johnnie) Moore; brothers, William (Annie) Thomas, Marvin (Sallie) Steveson, Gregory (Amie) Steveson, all of Columbus, MS and James (Anita) Steveson of Alabama; sister-in-law, Annie B. Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friend, Janice Rorie. Annie was preceded in death by her father, C.T. Thomas; mother, Cozetta Steveson; step-father, Scott Steveson; and brother, Robert Steveson. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Sanders and the New Jerusalem Church family, Supt. Steve A. Hawkins and the El-Shaddai Church family, the Floyd, McZee, Harvell and Martin families, Dr. Rao, Dr. Ghatol and the McLaren-Flint 6th Floor and CCU staffs.
