KELLUM, Ms. Angelia - Age 42, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2 p.m., Min. Antwan Alexander officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Ms. Kellum will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. There will be no pubic vieweing. Ms. Angelia Kellum was born December 12, 1967 in Flint, the daughter of Jettie and Lois Kellum. Angelia was a 1986 graduate of Beecher High School. She then furthered her education at Grambling State University where she completed 3 years, majoring in Journalism. Angelia was the church administrator for Greater Zion Hill Bible Church, under the leadership of Pastor Calvin R. Martin. She enjoyed “organizing” family events, holidays, birthdays, open houses, etc. “Auntie” loved her nieces and nephews. They were the world to her, as much as she was to them. Angelia was a perfectionist, it had to be her way or it wasn’t right. She was a very loving and caring person, who had a wonderful sense of humor. Angelia was also very loyal to those she loved. She leaves to cherish her memory: parents, Jettie and Lois Kellum; grandmother, Eunice “Mama Dear” Bell; sister, Valarie (Martin) Walker; 2 brothers, James Bruce Smith and Aurelia Kellum; 6 nieces, Tomika Bennett (fiance’, Rolande Byrd), Keyanna MacDonald, LaQuilla Pitts, Tahnee Smith, Nakia Smith and Leyah Walker; 3 nephews, Danny Pitts, James Smith II and Damarius Walker; 10 great-nieces and nephews, including special great-nephew, Rolande LaVelle Byrd, Jr.; 6 aunts, Alberdia Martin, Mary Francis (Eddie Lee) Johnson, Etta Marie (George) Atkins, Martha Bennett, Barbara Bennett and Ruby Peterson; 5 uncles, Leo Russell (Susie) Bennett, Donald (Cynthia) Bennett, William Russell (Pat) Kellum, William Fisher and Robert Morrell (Bernice) Fisher; a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Monica Jackson, Charisse Robinson, Tara Furlow, Carla Roberts and Ernest Steward, second Mama, Lucille Briggs and god-sisters, Annette Briggs-Lay, Gwen Hemphill and god-son, Dylan James. Ms. Kellum was preceded in death by her sisters, Thrada Maria Smith and Evelyn Joyce Pitts; uncles, Curtis Wayne Bennett, William Ross Bennett, Kenneth Dale Martin, Halbert Kellum and Clarence Kellum; aunts, Alberta Gillespie, Maria Mae Byrd and Ester B. Gillespie; cousins, Terry Ray Martin and Randy James Martin; and grandparents, Elmira Kellum, Ed Kellum and J.B. Bennett. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center, U of M Ann Arbor, Select Specialty Hospital, Dr. Malde, Dr. Katneri, McLaren Medical Center ICU, all nurses and staff, aunts, Alberdia L.
