Mr. Allen O'Donnie Seales

SEALES, Mr. Allen O. - Age 66, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, August 10, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Rev. Greg Hare, Officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the Funeral Home 1:30 PM Saturday. Mr. Seales will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6 :00 PM Friday. Michigan, the son of the late Alex Jr. and Velma Seales. Allen was the 2nd born out of 3 children. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a faithful member of the Junior Usher Board at First Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Seales attended Flint Community Schools, graduating from Flint Central High School, “Class of 1976” where he was also on the basketball team. After completing high school he immediately began working with his dad at General Motors Corporation where he later retired at the young age of 48 after 30 years of service. Allen also participated on the General Motors Plant Basketball Team. Mr. Allen Seales met the love of his life, Margaret in 1978 and from this union 3 children were born with them also raising their niece, Alisha as their own. He loved to dance and was quick to show off his dancing moves. Allen enjoyed listening to music, he often led the family and friends talent show in their basement. He and Margaret loved to attend concerts locally and out of state. Just like his dad, Allen loved sports, which led him to travel with his cousin, Kevin Moore and brother, Charlie “Sonny” Short to the NBA All-Star games. He watched everything from wrestling as a boy to basketball, football, to tennis and golf (he may have even watched ping-pong if it was on TV). Allen also loved to watch Rizzoli and Isles, Perry Mason and cooking shows. Allen was a great swimmer, bowler and enjoyed roller skating in his youth. He only stayed retired for a short period of time, Allen moved to Milwaukee, WI to help care for his aging Mother and began working at a party store across the street from his home. Allen Seales was loved for his sense of humor; he had an out-going spirit that everyone loved to be around. Mr. Allen Seales departed this life on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the age of 66. Allen leaves to cherish his memory: wife of 45 years, Margaret Seales; 2 daughters, Crystal Seales-Wilturner and Alexis Seales; son, Allen (Shawnese) Seales; niece, Alisha Bradley; 2 sisters, Janice Seales of Milwaukee, WI and Vivian Seales (Jerry) of Keller, TX; brother, Zachary Smith of Grand Blanc, MI; 3 grandchildren, Jerome Harris, Xavier Hughes and Brayson Seales; 2 nephews, Omar (Cherice) Wright of Milwaukee, WI and Rayvon Smith of Grand Blanc, MI; sister-in-law, Duranda Blackmon; 2 brothers-in-law, Gregory and Fredrick Blackmon, all of Flint; 2 aunts, Helen (Hayward) McBride of Chicago, IL and Annie Ruth Jackson of Indiana; uncle, Jimmy (Rose) Carter of Harrisburg, PA; grandpups, Blackie and Zoey Seales; special friends, Darnell Milton, Michael Williams, Roberta Short and Carzella Conner; special nephews, Omar Hull, Corey and Casey Short, Derek Blackmon, all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that he loved dearly. Mr. Seales was preceded in death by his parents, Alex Jr. and Velma Seales; cousin, Kevin Moore; and brother, Charlie “Sonny” Short.
