Mrs. Alicia Rose Pruitt

PRUITT, Mrs. Alicia Rose - Age 49, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, March 11, 2017 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Dr. Reva Curry officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Pruitt will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday, with the family present from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM to receive friends. Mrs. Alicia Rose Pruitt was born March 8, 1967 in Flint, Michigan, the third child of Artis Sr. and Vitula Pruitt. She excelled in academics, and as an adult was always enrolled in graduate and doctoral classes. Alicia earned a Master’s Degree in Accounting and was also a Certified Public Accountant. After working with the Internal Revenue Service, she opened her own tax business, ASAP Accounting, and helped many with tax return preparation and remediation of delinquent taxes. Alicia loved helping people and her caring spirit was also demonstrated in her serving several years as a Hostess with St. Matthew’s Baptist Church Women’s Retreat Ministry in Williamstown, New Jersey. She will be missed by those she helped. Alicia had three children who were her pride and joy, Darryl, Derrick and BriElle. After being together many years, she married Eric Moore and they loved each other to the end. We will miss Alicia’s contagious laughter and bright smile. Mrs. Alicia Rose Pruitt leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Eric Moore; children, Darryl (Sade) Bryson Sr., Derrick (Jessica) Bryson and BriElle Bryson; grandchildren, Alexandria and Darryl Bryson Jr.; mother, Vitula Pruitt; grandmother, Vitula Nicholson; sister, Dr. Reva A. (Dwight) Curry; brother, Artis (Gwendolyn) Pruitt Jr.; nieces, Tiana Curry-McCoy and Serena Curry; nephews, Daricus Randolph and Dequinne Pruitt; aunt, Yuvonne Hobbs; mother-in-law, Ella Moore; sister-in-law, Sherrill Moore; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her father, Artis Pruitt Sr.
