TAYLOR, Ms. Aleane - Age 55, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at U of M - Ann Arbor, MI. Family hour 11:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Vermont Christian Church, 1201 Lippincott Blvd., Flint, Michigan. with funeral service commencing at 12:00 P.M. Pastor Devontae Powell, officiating. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 11:00 AM Saturday. Ms. Taylor will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Aleane Taylor was born on April 3, 1971, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Mamie Calhoun and Robert Taylor. She peacefully departed this life on July 28, 2026, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, surrounded by the love of her family. Aleane was a proud resident of Davison, Michigan. She graduated from Flint Northwestern High School and devoted more than 18 years of dedicated service to Ferris State University, where she was respected for her strong work ethic, compassion, and commitment. A woman of deep faith, Aleane loved the Lord and often attended Vermont Christian Church alongside her mother. She had a beautiful creative spirit and found joy in painting, cooking, traveling, spending time with family, and expressing herself through fashion and art. She loved looking her best and had an eye for beauty in everything she did. Whether she was creating a painting, preparing a meal, dressing up for an occasion, or simply spending time with the people she loved, Aleane lived with grace, kindness, and purpose. Aleane will always be remembered for her selfless heart, gentle spirit, unwavering love, generosity, strength, and compassion. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed, cared for, and important. Her smile could brighten a room, her wisdom brought comfort, and her love knew no limits. She was the kind of person who gave without expecting anything in return and whose presence made the world a better place. Above all else, Aleane's greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved them with all her heart. The love she poured into her family will continue to live on through each of them for generations to come. Aleane Taylor leaves to cherish her precious memory her children, Kaneesha Jones, Dawon Jones, and Tywon Jones; her grandchildren, Chance Smith-Morgan, Demir Jennings, Kodah Lemaster, Paris Jones, Alinna Jones, and Dawon Jones Jr.; her mother, Mamie Calhoun; her sister-in-love, DeQuandra Mitchell; her brother-in-law, Adam Hoffman; her daughter-in-law, Katelynn Lemaster; her nieces, Lezlye Taylor and D'Riyah Mitchell; her nephews, Antonio Martin, Austin Hoffman, and SiVone Mitchell; her special friend, Sheree Peeples; along with a host of loving cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. Aleane was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Teneisha Hoffman; her grandmother, Josephine Calhoun; and her grandfather, Rev. Meshack Calhoun. Aleane's life was a beautiful example of faith, strength, love, and resilience. She taught those around her the importance of kindness, generosity, and putting family first. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her love will never leave us. Her legacy will continue through the lives she touched, the memories she created, and the family she loved so deeply.
