Ms. Sally was baptized at Old Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan, under the late Reverend Alexander Williams. She later transferred her membership to Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church also of Flint, Michigan, under the late Pastor Otha Davis. Ms. Sally was a short order cook at Andy’s Restaurant of Flint, Michigan, until her retirement. She and Frank returned to Greenville, Mississippi in after he retired in 1985. There, she attended Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church of Greenville until their return to Michigan in 2018. Ms. Sally was well respected and loved by all that knew her. She was often described as a “pistol” because she was as tough as she was sweet. Ms. Sally was often called upon because of her wisdom and she could be relied upon for sound advice. She always “told it like it was” and in her own fashion. Ms. Sally was a great mother to her four children and a devoted wife to her husband. She cherished her husband and family dearly. She enjoyed reading her Bible, playing cards, fishing, dancing, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her home was the gathering place for all holiday celebrations and get-togethers and was always filled with love. Ms. Sally was preceded in death by her son, Willie James Nall; parents, Lelia Cason and Fred Wheat; step-mother, Gertrude Wheat; four siblings, LeDora Armstrong, Freddie Mae Turner, her identical twin sister, Vernado Smith and Yunice Wheat; uncle, Otis Cason.
