TYLER, Mr. Spencer Davis - Age 68, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at his residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from Second Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 6046 N. Clio Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Minster Larry Tyler officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G4413 Flushing Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Tuesday. Mr. Tyler will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. Mr. Spencer Davis Tyler was born March 11, 1953 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Archie and Lenora Tyler. Spencer was a resident of Flint and a member of Second Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1971.” Spencer was a man of all walks of life. He held numerous degrees in Cooking and Theology. Spencer enjoyed cooking, music and games. Mr. Spencer Davis Tyler leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Terrie Crockett; 5 daughters, La’Bama Birt, Jamie Birt, Sherita Williams, Shacoria Macon and Na’Zaria Crocket; 5 sons, Gregory Small, Jovan Small, Corterrious Macon, Frederick Crockett and Jaeland Crockett; grandchildren, Demetrius Williams Jr., Deverion (Brianna) Williams Sr., Ka’Nela Williams, Samara Cole, Jauveon Small, Jaiden Woodson, Lamiya Cruup, Zy’king Small, Sayvon Small and Juda Small; 2 sisters, Gearldine (Johnny) Petterson and Lynette (Ardell) Cason; 7 nieces, Sophia (Caderal) Jones, Tiffany Thorn, Tasia Thompson, Lanetha (Tracy) Cooper, Cecelia Tyler, Leontina Tyler and Linda Tyler; 8 nephews, Janarvis (Chantella) Tyler, Carlos Williams, Lamar Tyler, Maurice Thomas, Archie Tyler III, Donte (Tashima) Tyler, Cleven Bell and Jarico Tyler; aunt, Erma Washington; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Mr. Tyler was preceded in death by his son, Jimmie Birt; mother, Lenora Tyler; father, Archie Tyler Sr.; and brother, Wendell Tyler.
