Ms. Sondra " San" Joyce Coleman

COLEMAN, Ms. Sondra Joyce - Age 66, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, March 11, 2022, at Refuge Temple Church of Flint, 4400 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Matthew Jackson officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Friday. Ms. Coleman will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday. Ms. Sondra Joyce Coleman “San” was born January 25, 1956 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Clinton and Pauline (Fields) Coleman. Sondra was a lifelong resident of Flint. She lived her life according to her faith and was an active member of Refuge Temple Church of Flint where she served on several committee. “San” graduated from Flint Northwestern High School and later earned a degree in Culinary Arts. She received her calling as a Foster Parent where she helped so many children. “San” enjoyed fishing, playing cards, doing yardwork and cooking for her family. She was always willing to help anyone in need expecting nothing in return. Ms. Sondra Joyce Coleman “San” leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Latasha Marie (Johnny) Coleman; son, Martez Rason Coleman, all of Flint; foster sons, Demarcus Williams and Elijah (Koran) Mietling; grandchildren, Rodney, Maranda, Sha’Vonte, Mariya, Martez Jr., Edward Jr., Marcedes, Jacolby and Zelaya; great-grandchildren, Aniya, Jordan, Braylon, Taelynn, Avah, Kayden, Alexus and Ray; sister, Linda (Emmette Bennie) Robertson of Clarksville, TN; 2 brothers, Clinton (Nett) Coleman of Flint and Bryant (Lisa) Coleman of Nashville, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Regina Campbell, Melissa Griggs, Marvin Gray, Willie “MC” Joyce, Joyce Ann, Darlene Green and god-daughter, Tiffany Patrick. Ms. Coleman was preceded in death by her father, Clinton Coleman; mother, Pauline Coleman; sisters, Sharon Coleman and Dolores “Two Sweet” Franklin; brother, Michael Coleman.
