Mrs. Selina Rochelle Wright Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

WRIGHT, Mrs. Selina Rochelle - Age 55, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 317 E. Hamilton Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Family and Friends will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Kennedy will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Ms. Selina Rochelle Wright passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the age of 55 years. She was born April 8, 1966, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Curtis and Willena (White) Wright. Selina graduated from Flint Northwestern High School “Class of 1984” and went on to attend the University of Phoenix in Flint, MI. Selina and her children accepted Jesus Christ and became members of Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Flint, MI. She provided great love and care for the children that attended her day care “Cutie Pies”; that she owned for over 30 years. Selina enjoyed Blues music, shopping, traveling, giving great advise, guidance and love to family and friends. Ms. Selina R. Wright leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Jaquanda and Alana Wright; son, KurTaz Wright; grandchildren, Leaila Wright, Jamire Wright and Aubrey Pitts; step-mother, Tuchella Wright of Meridian, MS; three sisters, Donjale Wright, Tynisha Wright and Roshanda (Billy) Davis; brother, Lamar Wright; seven nieces, Armeria, Kamaura, Jecoyah, Iyana, LaNaira, Kishala Rushing and Jala of Meridian, MS; three nephews, Jacquevas and Paul, both of Flint, MI and Christian of Meridian, MS; uncle, Peter Jack; a host of great-nieces; great-nephews other relatives and friends including special friends, Angela Ratcliff, Danielle Merriweather, Ollie Wright and James Drummond. Ms. Wright was preceded in death by parents, Curtis and Willena Wright, sister, Candice Wright; two brothers, Curtis Wright, Jr. and Fabian Johnson.
