DIGGS, Ms. Sandra - Age 65, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at her residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Friday, February 25, 2022, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Friday. Ms. Diggs will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Thursday. Ms. Sandra Faye Diggs was born on August 7, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Jessie Mae Carroll and Sam Diggs. She moved to Flint, MI in 1973 with her mother, brother, 3 sisters, and nephew. Faye, as she was called, graduated from Mott Adult High School in 1996. Her last place of employment was the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. She was a lover of God, family, reading, having friendly conversation, and her favorite southern foods. Faye enjoyed watching western programs, game shows, and HGTV. She loved laughing, having a good time, and did not hesitate in conversing with everyone that came into her presence. Faye also enjoyed sewing creating quilts, various clothing items, and passing on her favorite hobby onto her grandchildren. Ms. Sandra Faye Diggs leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Patricia Diggs; sons, Duane (Tiffany) Diggs and Alfred Diggs, all of Flint; 3 granddaughters, Tylanda (Al’siaih) Griffin of Columbus, OH, Taliyah Diggs of Flint and Ashley Jackson of Washington, DC; 2 grandsons, Emoney McKnight-Diggs of Flint and Demitrious McKnight; 4 great-grandsons, Christian McKnight, Al’siaih, Chase, and Cameron Griffin, all of Columbus, OH; 2 sisters, Carolyn Jackson of Flint and Michelle (Rodney) Gould of Hattiesburg, MS; 2 nieces, Michelle (Michael) Jackson of Flint and Amanda Jackson of Nashville, TN; nephews, Brent Diggs, James Flowers, Billie, Ronnail, and Deonte Jackson, all of Flint, MI; aunt, Mildred Ewing of Minneapolis, MN; uncle, Johnny (Hortense) Diggs of Titusville, FL; a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Diggs was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Mae Jackson; grandmother, Parilee Lee Diggs; sister, Beverly Ann Diggs; brother, John Travis Jackson. The family would also like to express special thanks to Takeia Walton for the love and support she has shown for Faye throughout the years. Faye was always thankful for you being present.
