HICKS, Mr. Roscoe Lee - Age 51 passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Saturday. Mr. Hicks will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday.Mr. Roscoe Lee Hicks “Peeco” was born August 14, 1970 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Thomas Lee Hicks and Connee Marie Andrews. Roscoe attended Bunche Elementary School, Holmes Middle School and then went on to complete his G.E.D. He also attended I.T.T. Tech. and received a Certificate in Computer Technology. Roscoe loved watching movies, listening to music, hanging out with his friends and family get togethers at his Aunt Gin’s. Roscoe had a loving heart. He always made it a point to reach out and check on his Facebook family and friends. Roscoe was also a caregiver for his grandparents, William and Ocie, his Aunt Gin and special friend, Brenda Johnson. Mr. Roscoe Lee Hicks “Peeco” leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Connee (Abron Sr.) Andrews of Burton, MI; sisters, Brenda (Marvin) Mays, Camillia Hicks, CaTrina Andrews, LaNora (Jim) Cooper, Jeanna Holman, Mary J. Hicks and Coretta Jones; brothers, Raymond (Angela) Hicks Sr., Thomas (Tamika) Hicks II and Abron (Carmita) Andrews; nieces, Taylor, Morganne, Asa, Ariyal, Chartisha, LaMira, LaMiah, Mikayla, Ryen, Garielle, Kyiesha, Brittney and Zariah; nephews, Kaylen, Kyle II, Ray J, LaMarion and Braylen; aunts, Annie “Pearl” Strong, Emma “Jean” Sweeney, Betty Brown, Margaret Hicks and Alma (William) McGuire; uncles, Jimmie (Rosemary) Hicks Sr., Johnny (Pearl) Hicks and Reginald Morris; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Brenda “Big Bren” Johnson, Kenny Brooks, Austin “Jr” Brandon, William “Jeff” Brown and Dennis Martin. Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Hicks Sr., grandparents, Willie Sr. and Grace Hicks, William and Ocie Morris; 3 aunts; 5 uncles; 2 cousins; and 1 great-nephew.
