ROSE, Mr. Robert M. - Age 83, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Majestic Skilled Nursing Home, Flushing, MI. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Evangelistic Temple 1819 Welch Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM., Pastor Joseph Robinson, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:00 AM Tuesday. Mr. Rose will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. Public View will be held only during the family hour.Mr. Robert Melton Rose “Bobby” was born May 17, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Margaret (Paul) Rose and David Blair. Robert was a resident of Flint Twp., Michigan for 25 years. He was a member of the Evangelistic Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith where he served as the Chief Parking Lot Attendant, Choir Member and Brotherhood Department Historian. Robert retired after 30 years of service from Ronald Reagan Airport (formally Dallas Airlines) working for United Airlines. He was a world traveler, visiting Belguim, France, Germany, England and Hawaii. Mr. Robert Melton Rose “Bobby” leaves to cherish his memory: devoted niece, Sheila (Joe) Robinson of Flint; Fonda (Ralph) Morgan and Linda (Shelly) Smith; step-brother, Vincent Rose, all of Columbus, OH; step-daughter, Toni of Silver Spring, MD; 5 nieces, Machell, Nathasha, Teresa, Shannon and Kendra, all of Columbus, OH; 10 nephews, Devn, Joe and Aaron Robinson, all of Flint, Russell, Raymond, Carlton and Woody Rose, Micah Rogiers, all of Columbus, OH, Shawn Morgan of Chicago, IL and Larry Rose of Texas; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Rose was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Rose; parents, Margaret (Paul) Rose and David Blair; sisters, Loretta, Jean and Joyce; brothers, Richard, Raymond and Russell. The family would like to express special thanks to Hartland Hospice, Promedica Team Workers, Cecillia “Ce-Ce”, Stacie Barnett (nurse), Ronda, Malinda, MP Chaplin Eric Maynard and the Evangelist Temple Church family. Mr. Rose was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp.
