CHANEY, Mr. Lonnie - Age 75, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Mr. Chaney's Homegoing Celebration will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Ebenezer Ministries, 2130 S. Center Rd., Burton, MI 48519, with the Family hour at 10AM and the service beginning at 11AM. Pastor Eddie Chaney officiating, Rev. Urundi Knox, Host Pastor. Interment at Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Mr. Chaney will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Mr. Lonnie Chaney was born on September 6, 1930 in Moro, Arkansas, to the parents of Milton and Penny (Moore) Chaney. Mr. Chaney was a member of King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church of Flint. He had been a resident of Flint since 1956. Mr. Chaney was employed with General Motors (Metal Fabricating Division) for 35 years retiring in 1993, and was a member of UAW Local # 659. Mr. Lonnie Chaney leaves to cherish his memory: wife of 42 years, Lillie R. Chaney; 4 daughters, Valerie Renee Quaker of McDonough, GA, Francine Mincy (Nelson Mays) of Detroit, MI, Veronica (Raphael) Welch of Flint, MI, and Jaquna Chaney of Mt. Morris, MI; son, Timothy Chaney of Mt. Morris, MI;13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Marion (Cecelia) Chaney of Flint; 5 sisters, Mattie Williams and Bobbye Jean Manney of Flint, Thelma King and Mary Ann (Joe) Hicks of Helena, AR, Marie Thompson of Stone Mountain, GA; 10 sisters-in-law, Mary Chaney, Edna Chaney, Rosemary Chaney and Velma Chaney, Christinia Townsend, Essie (J.C.) Townsend of Flint, Roberta Chaney of Dallas, TX, Pearlean (Curtis) Hughes, Mary Moore and Margaret Evans of Atlanta, GA; 2 brothers-in-law, Lonnie (Walterean) Moore of Indianapolis, IN, Edward (Jocelyn) Moore of Forest, MS; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Chaney was preceded in death by his parents; 7 brothers; and 4 sisters. The family would like to express special thanks to Doctors Katneni and Pandrangi, Hurley Medical Center ICU Staff, Rev.
