Mr. Leonard Stubbs

STUBBS, Mr. Leonard - Age 60, passed away Wednesday, December 1. 2021 at Hurley Medical Center. Mr. Stubbs will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Mr. Leonard Stubbs was born February 15, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Betty Jane and Homer Thompson. Leonard was a resident of Flint, Michigan and a member of Faith Deliverance Tabernacle. He enjoyed organizing events for the community. Leonard was also a huge sports fan. Every year around Christmas time, he dressed up as Santa and gave out toys to the children in his neighborhood. Leonard also loved to cook and give out dinners to families during holidays. Leonard “Toddy” loved helping people and spreading the Word of God. He was a man of faith and one of the most humorous people you could ever meet. Mr. Leonard Stubbs leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Desiree Stubbs; 3 daughters, Jani Stubbs, Janee Stubbs and Cleava Wade; grandchildren, Justice Joy Stubbs and Danzel Lamar Banks; 5 sisters, Cornelia McMullen, Mae (Robert Sr.) Small, Jacqueline (Stanley) Gilbert, Ida (Clarence) Leggett and Meres-Betty Thompson; 4 brothers, Raymond Stubbs, David Stubbs, Remoh Thompson and Steed Stubbs; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; brother-in-law, Lee Anthony Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Anette Anderson and Keiyon Nard. Mr. Stubbs was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jane and Homer Thompson; siblings, Jacob Stubbs, Carnell Stubbs, Dorthy Smith, Jessie Stubbs and Rayvena Johnson.
