McLEMORE, Mrs. Lee Ester - Age 77, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at her residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Friday, April 1, 2022 at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 106 E. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10;30 AM Friday. Mrs. McLemore will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday. Mrs. Lee Ester McLemore was born June 13, 1944 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the daughter of David and Bernice Simmons. Lee was a member of Joy Missionary Baptist Church in Flint, MI. She was a full time mother and enjoyed anything that involved praising God. Lee loved traveling with her family. She was a woman of God who loved her children and always put them first. Lee also loved to sew and workout. She was a loving wife. Lee read her bible religiously and was a active member of the church. She was President of Nurses Guild and the Usher Board. Lee was passionate about the word of God and spreading it. She instilled in her children the importance of serving the Lord and always putting him first. Mrs. Lee Ester McLemore leaves to cherish her memory: 4 daughters, Ester McLemore, Sandy Thompson, Brenda (James) Taylor, all of Flint and Sherry McLemore of Grand Blanc, MI; son, Norman (Keda) McLemore of Flint; grandchildren, Shateonnia McLemore, Ceasia Taylor, James Taylor, Cecil McLemore, Lawrence Thompson Jr., Brearieonna Thompson, Lee McLemore, Chyeanne McLemore, Nori McLemore, Ajante Thompson, Brayden Taylor, Jaila Thompson, Tiona Thompson, BreNya Taylor and Ava Flowers, all of Flint; great-grandchildren, James Taylor, Nolan Thomas, Zayn Ayantayo, Jaida Taylor, and Meira Brown; 2 sister, Ethel (Stoney) McFadden of Pine Bluff, AR and Gloria Simmons of Flint; 2 brothers, David (Roma Jean) Simmons and Howard (Patricia) Simmons; niece, Tonya McFadden; nephew, Rodney (Shawn) McFadden of Pine Bluff, AR; a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. McLemore was preceded in death by her parents, David and Bernice Simmons; Hosie Ward, Cecil McLemore, Cindy McLemore, Martha Simmons, Lamar Simmons, Glen Simmons, Cornell Simmons, Cornell Simmons Jr. and Edward Demery Jr. The family would like to express special thanks to Grace Hospice and Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church family.
