Mrs. June Marie (Teverbaugh) Taylor

August 25, 1932 - February 26, 2022

TAYLOR, Mrs. June Marie (Teverbaugh) - Age 89, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at her residence. Family Hour 1:30 PM Friday, March 11, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Rev. Donald Stevens, officiating, Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble in the chapel 1:30 PM Friday. Mrs. Taylor will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Thursday. Ms. June Marie Taylor-Teverbaugh was born August 25, 1932, to the parents of Mr. Carl Taylor and Geneva (Jasmine) Daniels. Ms. Teverbaugh attended Loyola and Michigan State University. She enjoyed a rich and varied employment: the U.S. Postal Service, the very 1st Head Start Program at Marion and Harrow School (BSD). Substitute Teacher and Switchboard Operator and Private Secretary for Beecher School District, Insurance Sales in Michigan, General Motors Institute (GMI) and Alma College as Head Secretary of the Financial Aid Department. With her contribute to a long employment in Michigan she retired at age 70. Ms. Teverbaugh accepted Jesus early in life and remained faithful to Jesus the rest of longevity of life. She loved spending time with her children, family and friends, she also enjoyed painting, computers, reading, movies, solitary and cooking exotic foods. Ms. June Marie Taylor-Teverbaugh leaves to cherish memory and love: sister, Ms. Jean McIntosh; daughters, Ms. Othalla C. (Teverbaugh) Figueroa and Ms. Genava M. Teverbaugh; sons, Mr. David Teverbaugh, Mr. Jerome Teverbaugh; 18 grandchildren; 23 great– grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by Ms. Anna M. Taylor (Twin Sister), her parents, Mr. Dennis M. Teverbaugh (Son), Mr. Joseph A. Teverbaugh (Son), Ms. Leila J. Teverbaugh and Mr. Otho O. Teverbaugh III (Son). Our Family would like to give Very Special Thanks to our incredible and amazing sister, Genava M. Teverbaugh, who has been with her and taking care of mother for many years, keeping her comfort and the refinement she so truly deserves. We would also like to give a special thanks to Rachael A. Teague (Granddaughter), McLaren Home care & Hospice of East Lansing, Michigan and Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. Mom always found time to volunteer her services to the betterment of society as a whole.
