TURNER, Mr. Jimmie Jr. - Age 58, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, April 23, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Turner will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Mr. Jimmie Turner Jr. or affectionately called Junior, was born on March 25th, 1964 in Flint, Michigan at Flint Osteopathic Hospital (FOH), the son of Jimmie and Cora Turner. Jimmie Jr. attended Flint Northern High School where he was #25 for the Viking Football Team and also wrestled. He graduated high school in 1983 and went on to Baker Community College before stopping to pursue working full-time. Jimmie worked for Coca Cola, Flint Packaging (where he met the love of his life, Joyce Robinson) and Campus Security for Hurley Medical Center where he protected and served until his retirement in 2015. Outside of protecting and serving, Jimmie Jr. loved spending time with his family, watching sports with his brother Daniel and friends, and riding around with his road dog Nari.  Jimmie Jr and Jocelyn Robinson spent over 25 wonderful years together. Jimmie Turner Jr. leaves to cherish his memories; 3 sons De’Quan Troutman, Charles Malone, and Micah Hester, all of Flint, MI and 2 daughters Kylaniesha Troutman of Flint, MI and Shamere (Mario) Williams of Iowa Colony, TX. Granddaughter’s Zanariey McNeal, Harmonee Malone and Jasmine Troutman all of Flint MI and Brook’Lynn and Fallon Williams of Iowa Colony, TX; grandsons, Justus Travis and Marcellus Troutman; sisters, Sherry, Michelle and Teresa Turner; brothers, Daniel Turner of Flint, MI and Herman Smith of Columbus, OH; nephews, De’Quan And Travonta Turner; niece, Talaila Turner; uncle, Curtis Hudson, all of Flint, MI; aunt, Tee Willie Cobb of Fairborn, OH; best friend, Kent Myles of Flint, MI and a host of other relatives and friends. Jimmie was preceded in death by his mother Cora Lee Turner; father, Jimmie Turner Sr.; mother-in-law, Ruth Flenard; brother, Byron Orlando Turner; grandparents, Ora & Pearl Hudson, Charles & Lula Mae Miller and Robert Turner; as well as 4 aunts and 11 uncles. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Davita Dialysis in Burton, MI, Hurley Medical Center and the Kidney Foundation.
