RAMSEY, Ms. Janice Juanita - Age 62, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at her residence. Family Hour 1:30 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Pastor Allen Overton, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the Chapel 1:30 PM Tuesday. Ms. Ramsey will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday.Ms. Janice Juanita Ramsey was born April 28, 1959 in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of Carrie and Jacob Ramsey. Janice was a resident of Flint, Michigan. She loved spending time with family and friends, shopping and playing cards. Janice also loved spending time with her only daughter. She was a very out spoken person with a heart of gold. Janice had a smile that lit up a room. She touched anyone’s heart she came in contact with. Ms. Janice Juanita Ramsey leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Sparkle (Theresa) Williams of Phoenix, AZ; 4 grandchildren, Tarence Marshall of Tucson, AZ, Montrell Marshall of Big Rapids, MI, Tarrell Marshall and Jazmen Marshall, both of Flint; great-granddaughter, A’maya Marshall; mother, Carrie Ramsey of Fremont, MI; 2 brother, Kennith Ramsey and Michael Rucker, both of Muskegon, MI; 4 nieces; 7 nephews; 13 aunts; 6 uncles; a host of cousins including special cousins, Loveeda and Lalonda Butcher, Harold Walker and Dennis Walker; 2 sisters-in-law, Faye Bolton and Joe Ellen Upchurch, both of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Zina Monique, Della Noakes and Deborah. Ms. Ramsey was preceded in death by her father, Jacob Ramsey; sister, Gwendolyn Ramsey; and brother, Christopher Ramsey. The family would like to express special thanks to everyone that showed love and concern during this trying time.
