RICHARD, Mrs. Janecka L. - Age 46, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:30 AM Monday, December 27, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Gillie Harris officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Monday. Mrs. Richard will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Sunday. Mrs. Janecka Laverne Richard was born November 24, 1975 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Stella and Penella Woodard. Janecka attended International Gospel Center where she sang in the Choir. She graduated from the Kennedy Center with honors. Janecka also attended Baker College where she studied the Medical Assistant Field. Life came to a pause, but didn’t stop her. Janecka went on to attend Stratford University where she obtained a degree in Office Administration, Medical Coding and Billing. She also received her license for Hair and Nail. After attending Mr. David’s School of Cosmetology, she worked on the board for Health Plus. Janecka loved spending time with her family, playing Spades, eating sea food and fried chicken. Her favorite saying was “I ain’t going out life that.” Mrs. Janecka Laverne Richard leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Brent Richard of Flint; 2 sons, Damontai Richard and Justice Richard; 2 sister, Gwen Kidd of Detroit, MI and Pamela Woodard of Flint; brother, Greg Woodard of Grand Rapids, MI; niece, Itika Watson of Detroit, MI; 4 nephews, Christopher of Woodard of Grand Rapids, MI, Joshua Woodard, Marcus Woodard, both of Flint and Tshawnbe Kidd of Detroit, MI; 2 uncles, James Lucas of Jackson, MS and Hugh Woodard of Flint; a host of cousins including special cousin, Cousin Kim; Mother-in-law, Kim Richard; Father-in-law, Victor Macklin of Flint; sisters-in-law, Angel Richard, Kaleai Richard, Kimberly Richard and Nikkie Macklin; brothers-in-law, Deonte Richard, Akieem Richard, Chevez Richard, Keno Macklin, Deyun Macklin, Daron Richard and Frederick Thomas all of Flint and Renard Kidd of Detroit, MI; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Jackie Woodard, Joann Smith, Willian Johnson, Turk, Korie, Shaunty and Rod. Mrs. Richard was preceded in death by her parents, Stella and Penella Woodard; grandparents; and brother, Frederick Woodard.
