STEWART, Mr. Herbert Maurice - Age 91, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, at Devine Caring in Grand Blanc, MI. Family hour 10:00 AM Monday, February 7, 2022, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, G-5443 N. Saginaw St., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Samuel Berry III, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Monday. Mr. Stewart will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Sunday.Mr. Herbert M. Stewart was born September 11, 1930 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the son of Rem Sr. and Elizabeth Stewart. Herbert was a resident of Flint, Michigan and Burton, Michigan area for over 70 years. He was also a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church for over 70 years where he served on the Trustee Board since 1990. Herbert graduated from Merrill High School in Pine Bluff, AR. He was employed at Buick City, a division of General Motors Corporation where he retired after 42 years of service. Herbert loved to play golf, go bowling and being with his family and friends, and watching sports on TV. Mr. Herbert M. Stewart leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters and 5 sons, Maurice and Mary Stewart of Missouri City, TX, Tony Stewart Sr., Kenneth Stewart, both of Flint, Tyrone Stewart of Grand Blanc, MI, Stefanie Stewart of Wyoming, MI and Mary Herring of Mt. Morris, MI; 2 step-children, Gregory Singleton and Wanda Singleton Young; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Laverne Hines; brother, Clarence Stewart, both of Pine Bluff, AR; a host of nieces including special niece, Thressa Green Bradley; a host of nephews including special nephews, Daryl Stewart, Terry and Tyrone Green; a host of other relatives and friends including special friend, Sally Herring. Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Myrtle L. Stewart; 2nd wife, Dorothy Stewart; son, Bobby Eugene Stewart; nephews, Pastor Kenneth L.
