WHITESIDE, Mr. Grover Cleveland Jr. - Age 68, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center. Mr. Grover will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Mr. Grover Cleveland Whiteside Jr. was born September 29, 1953 in Hudson, New York, the son of Juanita Jenkins and Grover Cleveland Whiteside Sr. Grover was the middle child of 3 siblings, Betty Harris and Joyce Scott who preceded him in death. Grover was a Truck Driver and attended San Diego City College in San Diego, CA where he completed his degree in Mechanic’s. In 1976, he met and united with Patricia Whiteside and from this union 2 born, daughter, Lynnetta Paris of Mt. Morris, MI and son, Grover Whiteside III of Caro, MI. Grover loved spending time with his family and friends. The Lord called him home to rest on June 28, 2022. Mr. Grover Cleveland Whiteside Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Lynnetta Paris of Mt. Morris, MI; son, Grover Whiteside III of Caro, MI; step-children, Calvetta Upchurch, Micheal Upchurch, Angel Harmon, Shamona Harmon, Tyler Pearson, Tyrone Pearson, Darius Newsom and Devon Newsom; grandchildren, Mercedes Chapman of North Carolina, Torey Paris Jr. of Arizona, Samaya Paris of Mt. Morris, MI, Sage Whiteside, Sarai Whiteside and SaKarah Whiteside of Caro, MI; 4 nieces, Yolanda Harris, Mashala Dave, Precious Singletary and Kandy Rich; 7 nephews, Preston Simpson, Dwight Scott, Onaje Davis, Raymond Anders, Kamel Singletary, Martel Singletary and Shaquille Singletary; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Whiteside was also preceded in death by his parents, Juanita Jenkins and Grover Cleveland Whiteside Sr.
