KELLY, Mr. Earnest "Pops" Sr. - Age 90, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at his residence. Family Hour 1:30 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing a 2:00 PM. Pastor Charley Mobley, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 1:30 PM Friday. Mr. Kelly will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday. Earnest Kelly Sr. was born on August 7, 1931 in Raymond, Mississippi, to the parents of Bradley and Emma Kelly. Earnest attended school in Raymond, MS. In 1950, he moved his family to Flint, Michigan. He loved to fish and work on cars, and play cards. Earnest also developed a love for bowling, and he bowled in many leagues. In 1954, he was hired into AC Sparks Plug, a subsidiary of General Motors Corporation and after 30 years he retired. Earnest Kelly Sr. leaves to cherish his memories; 7 sons and 5 daughters, Ernest (Dorothy) Kelly Jr., Charlie (Avie) Kelly of Mt. Morris MI, Debra Kelly Davis, Retia (Steven) Gay, Jerome (Wanda) Kelly, Gregory (Tina) Kelly, Darryl Kelly, Robert (Malinda) Kelly of Flint, MI, Ryan (Regina) Kelly of Memphis TN, Karla (Carlos) Wiley of Stonecrest, GA, Brittany and Breanna Broach, both of Flint MI; 56 grandchildren, 99 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Earnest was preceded in death by his wife, Arlean Kelly; 3 grandchildren; parents, Bradley and Emma Kelly; 3 brothers, John, Robbie, and Bobbie Kelly; 6 sisters, Rosie McNeil, Margaret Whitaker, Charlie Mae Kelly, Maggie Ratliff, Geneva Ratliff, and Mary Watts; special friend, Danny Brandon .The family wishes to thank housekeeper/ granddaughter, Tenita Kelly, Roslin, Maple Place Assistance Living, Care Team Hospice, Dr Ahmad Arif, Harris Memorial Church Of God In Christ, Divine True Ministry, House of Prayer, Lawrence E.
