JACKSON, Ms. Damesha M. - Age 32, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her residence. Family hour 1:30 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM, Bishop Lessie Mae Jackson officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Wednesday. Ms. Jackson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Tuesday.Ms. DaMesha Moniece Jackson was born May 3, 1989 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of JoAnn Jackson (Oliver Charles Rogers) and Samuel Jackson Jr. DaMesha was a member of Greater Grace of God Ministries. She attended Flint Northern High School where she graduated as a Black Scholar with honors and scholarships. DaMesha went on to attended University of Michigan-Flint where she pledged Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. She obtained a Bachelor Degree in Social Work and a Master Degree of Public Administration. DaMesha was currently working on her Master of Social Work at Capella University. She enjoyed shopping, traveling and helping others. Ms. DaMesha Moniece Jackson leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, NaZiah Aikins; son, Derrick Smith Jr.; parents, JoAnn Jackson and Samuel Jackson Jr.; 3 sisters, DaNika Jackson, Vanity Langston and Angelic Markham; brothers, AnQuan Gaddy and DonTrell Gaddy; 3 bonus brothers, Deonte Gaddy, Cedrick Artis and Tommy Tiggs; a host of aunts including special aunts, Terry Prewitt, Cynthia Howell-Moore, Kimberly Gaddy, Gwendolyn Mark, and Melody Gaddy; uncles, John Gaddy Jr., Steven Gaddy, Maurice Gray and Joseph Gaddy; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Taleebara Dantzler, Varlee Ryan, Arsenio Aikins, Derrick Smith, Soror Sisters, Tariya Saunders, Marjani Abdur-Rahman and Alicia Carey. Ms. Jackson was preceded in death by Bernice Gaddy, Oliver Charles Rogers, Eric Milton Richardson Jr., Eniyah Milton-Richardson, Henry “CJ” Redmon and Jessie Winters. The family would like to express special thanks to Flint Fire Department, Flint Ambulance, The Department of Health & Human Services, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., PVM-McFarlan Home, Church Without Walls, Brownell School and last but not least, Greater Grace of God Ministries family and so many other people.
