ISOM, Mrs. Daisy - Age 80, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 AM Monday, January 24, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearer will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Monday. Mrs. Isom will lie in state in the ChapMrs. Daisy Louise Isom “Chicken”, age 80, peacefully passed away January 15, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center. Daisy was born March 4, 1941 in the small town of Sardis, Georgia, the daughter of Martin Sr. and Wilmotine Cooper. She was the wife to the late Simon Isom III of Pikeville, KY. Daisy was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church, where she attended weekly. She was a proud, passionate grandmother, loving and caring mother. Daisy graduated from Miami Northwestern. She had a passion for helping others which was her secret for a successful life. Daisy was someone who dedicated time and emotions, she loved from her heart truly. She put time into the City of Flint and worked for General Motors Corporation for over 15 years. After becoming a retired woman, she found passion in doing Crossword Puzzles and watching her favorite talk shows. Daisy also loved spending time with her grandkids and she loved some Snoop Dogg. Mrs. Daisy Louise Isom “Chicken” she to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Adrenal (William) Smith and Monica Butler, all of Flint; 3 sons, Wayne Cooper of Savannah, GA, James Chevelle Butler and Elbert Butler II, both of Mt. Morris, MI; 2 bonus sons, Victor Barnes and James Phipps, both of Flint; 25 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandkids, all who reside in Flint; 6 sisters, Edwina Williams of Riveria Beach, FL; Patricia (Jonathan) Moses of Flint, Morey Coley of Mt. Morris, MI, Jennifer Cooper, Iris (Maurice) Hart, Joann Cooper, all of Flint, Ann Lou Williams and Helen Walker of Sardis, GA; 2 brothers, Frank (Frankie) Cooper of Patterson, NJ and Martin (Jennifer) Cooper III of Jacksonville, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including special great-granddaughter, Miyonna “Tink” Norman, and brother-in-law, Jonathan Moses. Mrs. Isom was preceded in death by her husbands, Simon Isom III and Elbert Butler Sr.; sons, Don Cooper and Ernest Butler; daughters, Barbra (Ann) Cooper and Wilmotine Cooper; grandsons, Calvin Whirl an Laventez Phipps; mother, Wilmotine Cooper; and brother, Edward Charles; sister, Claretha Cooper; niece, Nicole Shealy; nephews, Tyrnn Cutler Cooper, Tony Carlyse Cooper and Eric “EC” Cooper; and brothers, Arey Cooper and Charles Cooper. el of Lawrence E.
