KNIGHT, Mr. Charles - Age 69, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 4:30 Friday, May 13, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 9906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with Funeral service commencing at 5:00 PM. Family and friends will assemble at the Funeral Home, 4:30 PM Thursday Mr. Knight will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Thursday. Mr. Charles Calvin Knight was born November 19, 1952 in Berkley, West Virginia, the son of Betty Jean and Daniel Knight Sr. Charles moved to Flint, Michigan in 1968 and attended Flint Northern High School. He loved sports and was a great basketball player. Charles also loved people and enjoyed dancing and having fun. Mr. Charles Calvin Knight leaves to cherish his memory: 4 children, Sharena (Philip) Roland, Sharita White, Terrance Emery and Katrina (Kenneth) Emery-Talton; 9 grandchildren, Santoya Lewis, Marquan Emery, Ashley White, Kamira Emery, Tereka Lewis, Sharika Beaugard, Jordan Roland, Denai Pollard and Jor’Dae Roland; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Diana Dozier and Linda Stovall; 2 brothers, Daniel (Everline) Knight Jr. and Anthony Knight, all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his grandsons, Tari Lewis, Shaun Lewis and Santana Beaugard; parents, Betty Jean and Daniel Knight Sr.; brother, William Knight; nephew, Brian Knight; several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center 4th Floor ICU, Willowbrook Manor, The Medical Team Hospice, Pastor Danny Greene, Pastor Dennis Powell, Bishop Jimmy Sims and Lawrence E.
