TYLER, Mr. Archie Jr. - Age 73, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from Second Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 6046 N.Clio Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Minster Larry Tyler officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G4413 Flushing Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Tuesday. Mr. Tyler will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday.Mr. Archie Tyler Jr. was born August 10, 1948 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Archie Sr. and Lenora Tyler. He was a resident of Flint and a member of Rock Missionary Baptist Church. Archie loved listening to the Blues and playing cards. He graduated from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1967.” Archie was employed at General Motors Corporation for 36 1/2 years. He loved joking around, being around family and cars, but don’t spin his tires. Mr. Archie Tyler Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Loretta Tyler; 6 daughters, Tina, Linda, Latia, Quidade, Gabrielle and Nichelle; son, Archie III; 10 grandchildren, Akeem, Kiara, Daquan, DeQuavius, Jamal, Aireona, Marquise, Tanaya, Tania and Sharmari; a host of great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Gearldine (Johnny) Peterson and Linette (Ardell) Cason; brother, Larry Tyler; 5 nieces, Sophie (Cardell) Jones, Tiffany Thorn, Laneatha (Tracey) Cooper, Cecelia Tyler and Latasha; 7 nephews, Janarvis (Chantella) Tyler, Carlos Williams, Donte (Tashima) Tyler, Maurice Thomas, Cleven Bell, Jarico Tyler and Lamar Tyler; aunt, Erma Washington; special granddaughter, Ashly Auls; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, RW, Samuel Toins, Berthay and Ray Tyler, and numerous friends. Mr. Tyler was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tashara Toins; grandson, Eric Terell Tyler; mother, Lenora Tyler; father, Archie Tyler Sr.; and brother, Wendell Tyler.
