Mrs. Ann Marie Langston

LANGSTON, Mrs. Ann Marie - Age 72, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at her residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Tuesday. There will be no public viewing. Mrs. Ann Marie Langston was born October 18, 1949, in Memphis Tennessee, to O.D. Van Buren Sr. and Virginia (Roebuck) Van Buren. Ann Marie was, in her strong voice and resounding words “A child of God”! She loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible and praising his name in song. Ann Marie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Ann Marie was a great cook, and loved to watch the various cooking shows for recipe ideas. She never met a stranger, she was outgoing and inquisitive. You could always find her chatting with someone, if only just to ask them, “How are you today?” Ann Marie had an amazing memory, she never forgot a birthday or a chance to congratulate someone for a special accomplishment. Ann Marie was affiliated with Faith Gospel Temple and South Flint Tabernacle church over the years. Mrs. Ann Marie Langston leaves to cherish her precious memory: three children, JoAnna (fiancée Kevin) Langston, Katina Langston, and Dwayne (Kysha) Langston; six grandchildren, Robert Brandon, Celeste, Dwayne Jr., Angel, and Nasiya; four great-grandchildren, Robert Jr, Brieon, Qua, and Jalah; three sisters, Mary Van Buren, Carol Van Buren, and Zelma Wallace; brother; Burel Van Buren; a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, including dear nieces Sabrina Randolph and Jennifer Van Buren; a very large extended family, and friends including longtime friend, Frieda Brown Williams. Mrs. Ann Marie Langston was preceded in death by her father, O.D. Van Buren Sr.; mother, Virginia Van Buren; brothers, Earnest Van Buren, Willie Van Buren, O.D. Van Buren Jr., and Larry Van Buren; nephew, Kevin Van Buren; and niece, Tamara Renee Nabors.
