NORTON, Ms. Yvette Leauvie - Age 41, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Seon Thompson officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 10:30 a.m. Monday. Ms. Norton will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Ms. Yvette L. Norton was born November 30, 1972 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Shirley Ann Norton and Howard Britton. Yvette was affectionately known as “Puttin,” and loved cooking and feeding family and friends; she also enjoyed spending time with her close friends, children and grandchildren. Yvette attended Macedonia Baptist Church. Ms. Yvette L. Norton leaves to cherish her memory: fiancé, Willie Griggs of Flint; daughter, Moeshia Bingham; 5 sons, DaQuan Hawkins, Henry Bingham V, Leandra Bingham, Lorenzo Bingham and Micguel Bingham all of Flint; grandchildren, Devon Noyce-Kellyton of Alabama and Darnell Jayshon McClendon of Flint; 3 sisters, Davonn (Craig) Jones of Mt. Morris, MI; LaShon Anderson of Columbus, OH and Colendula Norton-Green of Jackson, MS; 3 brothers, Howard Norton Jr. and Toriano Norton, both of Flint and Herman Norton of Mt. Morris, MI; 5 nieces; 11 nephews; 5 aunts, Ernestine (Joseph) Williams, Patricia Norton, both of Flint; Joyce (Julio) Santiago, Eva Norton, Evelyn Nabors and Linda Cole all of Atlanta, GA; 3 uncles, Daryl (Regina) Norton of Grand Blanc, MI, Johnny Norton of Flint and Aamir Anthony (Gwen) Muhammad of Saginaw, MI; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Mattie Bell, Mary Thomas, Burnell Young, Katrece Hawkins, Shannen Jackson, Mary Bell Holloway and Thalessa Wilson; fathers of her children, Corey Hawkins and Henry Bingham IV. Ms. Norton was preceded in death by parents, Shirley Ann Norton and Howard Britton; 2 uncles, Jack and Ernest Norton; 2 aunts, Pearline Thompson and Cheryl Norton.
