STOCKARD (HARRIS), Yvette Delores – Age 56, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the University of Michigan Hospital. There will be a private family service on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church . Mrs. Stockard (Harris) will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-6PM Tuesday. Mrs. Yvette D. Stockard (Harris) was born on June 5, 1964 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Harold and Ollie Horne. Yvette was a faithful member of Higher Dimensions Ministries under the leadership of Supt. Sammie L Hall. Throughout her Christ-filled life, she held many offices and roles that demonstrated her dedication to God and her church including: Sunday School teacher, choir director and member and attendant to the pastor. Yvette touched the lives of many people with her wisdom, sense of humor, honest and thoughtful approach to providing support, and focus on family and passion for doing God's work. Yvette attended Flint Northern High School and graduated in 1982. She placed a high emphasis on education on her life and the life of her children as evidenced through her Associates Degree from C.S. Mott Community, Bachelors Degree from Baker College and Masters of Arts Degree in Organizational Management from Spring Arbor University. Yvette’s career included over 20 years of service at Hurley Medical Center as a Medical Trauma Registrar and over 17 years at the University of Michigan Hospital as a Health Administrative Manager. Yvette was the loving wife, companion and friend to Randal Stockard for over 8 years. She was the amazing mother and friend to Aisha Harris and Ezekiel (Ashly) Harris and step mother to Latricia D. (Robert) Trice, Leigha M. Smith and Randal M. Stockard. She was the proud grandmother of Jorja and Theo Harris; devoted aunt to a host of nieces and nephews, including special niece Zalondra “Loni”. In a family of 6 children she was the youngest daughter. She leaves to cherish her beloved memory: loving parents, Harold B. And Ollie J Horne of Grand Blanc, MI; 1 sister Valerie Gray of Grand Blanc, MI; 2 brothers Anthony Horne and Michael (Tyreka) Horne of Naperville, IL. The family would like to thank Supt. Sammie L Hall and the Higher Dimensions Church family, Pastor Janard Lakes and the Spirit of Victory Outreach Ministries Church family.
