Mrs. Yolunda Evette Campbell

CAMPBELL, Mrs. Yolunda - Age 43, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac MI. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, September 2, 2022, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Kim Yarber, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Funeral Home, 10:00 AM Friday. Mrs. Campbell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Thursday. Mrs. Yolunda Evette (Beamon) Campbell was born November 22, 1978 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Pastor James P. and Edna M. Beamon. Yolunda received Christ and was baptized at an early age. She continued to serve the Lord throughout her life at the Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. Dr. KD Yarber is Pastor. Yolunda graduated from Flint Beecher High School, “Class of 1996.” After high school she continued her education at Transitions School of Cosmetology where she received Certificate in Cosmetology. Yolunda enjoyed being a hair stylist but wanted to further her education and decided to pursue her career as a Medical Assistant. She graduated from Baker College of Flint with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. Yolunda worked numerous jobs throughout her life including, Hamilton Clinic and at Genesys Ascension Hospital. She enjoyed shopping, decorating, especially her extravagant Christmas Trees, planning family gatherings and making sure she gets her daily naps. Yolunda was known for her joking personality and just being one of a kind. Mrs. Yolunda Evette (Beamon) Campbell leaves to cherish her memory: 3 children, Joshua Campbell, Brianna Campbell and Lundyn Beamon; mother, Edna M. Beamon; brother, Aderal (Stephanie) Beamon; 2 sisters, Kendra Harris-Singleton and Rosie Beamon; 2 nephews, Jakari Irvin and Antoine Harris-Singleton Jr.; 2 nieces, Gabrielle Harris-Singleton and Adrienne Harris-Singleton; 7 aunts, Ethel Carlize, Barbara (David) Fizer, Ollie Perry, Mamie Beamon, Rachel (L.C.) Northington, Teresa (Alvin) Daniels and Thelma Gibson; 8 uncles, Eldridge Earl (Lynda) Beamon Sr., Junior (Lula) Pates, Charles (Christella) Pates, Nathaniel (Ruby) Pates, Leo Pates, Willie James (Daisy) Pates, Ezell (Nona) Pates and Roy (Kathy) Pates; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Nicole Irvin, Rona Green and Tenasia Aisanet. Yolunda was preceded in death by her father, Pastor James P. Beamon; grandparents, Rev. & Mrs. Eldridge Earl Beamon Sr., Aaron Sr. and Rosie Pates; sister, Josephine Beamon; and special aunt, Doris Faye Beamon-Banks.
