WILLIAMS, Mr. Willie James - Age 66, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Hurley Medical Center. Mr. Williams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2025. Mr. Willie J. Williams was born June 22, 1958 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Magnolia Young and Bennie Hunt. Willie enjoyed working on cars, doing Crossword Puzzles, going to the park watching baseball, running the Crim Race and walking. He was a late member of Prayer Garden Church Of God In Christ for 24 years. Willie attended Michigan State University, Mott College and Baker College where he earned a Bachelor Degree. Mr. Willie J. Williams leaves to cherish his memory: amarallys Williams of Burton, MI; 2 daughters, ZaJayla of Flint an Dekechra of Saginaw, MI; step-children, Michael Burnett of Los Angeles, CA, De’marshy Witherspoon of Saginaw, MI, and Za’niyah Witherspoon of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Zariana Williams, Zyani Williams, Zavion Williams, all of Flint, Di’ajah Fort of Charlotte, NC, Sierra Burnett and Mikari Burnett, both of Odessa, TX; nieces, Keisha Williams of Houston, TX, Karen (Noland) Heath of Colorado Springs, CO and Kathy Rodgers of Lawrenceville, GA; nephews, Charles Williams of Houston, TX, Willie (Trameka) Rodgers of Saginaw, MI and Kevin Rodgers of Saginaw, MI; aunt, Earlene McKay of Flint; cousins, Ethyel May, Marie and Paul Williams; sisters-in-law, Keisha Williams of Houston, TX, Jackie Deloney, Deborah Murphy, both of Flint, Shirley Readus of Huntsville, AL, Angela Murphy of Mt. Morris, MI, Karen Lewis, Janice Murphy, Aleisha Davis, all of Flint and Mary Alice Butler of Pine Bluff, AR; brother-in-law, Craig Smith Chula Vista, CA; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Ezell, Phyllis Jones, Marie Jackson, Antionette Givens, Yasmine Wilson. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his mother, Magnolia; father, Bennie; brother, Charles; sisters, Irene and Francine; uncles, Leeroy and Raymond; brothers-in-law, Willie Rodgers and Tyrone Murphy; mother-in-law, Eva Murphy; father-in-law, Louis Murphy; sisters-in-law, Tara Murphy, Zelma Murphy, and Sandra Givens; brothers-in-law, Bobby Readus and Jimmy Charles.
