THOMPSON, Mrs. Willie Faye - Age 75, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, 5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 1:30 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Thompson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, with family present 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Mrs. Willie Faye (Munerlyn) Thompson was born August 13, 1938 in Bloomburg, Texas to Avis and David Homer Munerlyn. She departed this life Saturday, January 25, 2014 five days after her mother, Mrs. Avis Munerlyn. Mrs. Thompson accepted Christ at an early age. She was a devoted member of Liberty Christian Outreach Ministry. She worked many years as a Home Care Nurse. Mrs. Thompson enjoyed listening to spiritual messages, music and spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. Mrs. Willie Faye Thompson leaves to cherish her memory: children, Phillip Littlejohn, Frederick (Linda Faye) Littlejohn of Mt. Morris, MI, Andre (Candace) Tookes, Floyd Dixon of Palm Beach, FL, Tyrone (Cynthia) Littlejohn of Grand Blanc, MI and Hugh Dixon of Flint; grandchildren, Amenika, Littlejohn of Deerfield, FL, Rita Littlejohn of Flint, Shamika Littlejohn of Flint Township, MI and Averee Littlejohn of Mt. Morris, MI; they became her children after the death of their mother, Patricia Littlejohn; brother, David (Versie) Munerlyn of Flint; aunts, Beatrice Holmes of Venice Beach, CA, Toledo Johnson of Hawthorne, CA, Dorothy Carswell of Queen City, TX and Nellie (Calvin) Munerlyn of Arlington, TX; uncle, James Munerlyn of Wichita, KS; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and god-daughter, Kaili Hopkins. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Littlejohn; parents, Avis and David H. Munerlyn; grandparents, Katie and Albert Patterson, James and Nellie Munerlyn; sister, Avaree Childs; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley 4th Floor ICU staff and floor nurses, Evangelist Richard Jordan, Sister Early Collins, Pandora “Pam” Jackson, Roberta Mae Tyler, Pastor Anthony and Mary Arasanmi, LCOM family, Elder Charles Scroggins and Mrs. Lois Holbrook.
