MOORE, Mr. Willie B. Jr. - Age 70, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3502 Lapeer Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Pastor Marvin A. Jennings, Sr., officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Moore will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Willie B. Moore, Jr. was born February 18, 1940 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Willie B. and Evelyn (White) Moore, Sr. Willie attended Flint Public Schools and graduated from Northern High School, where he played baseball and basketball. He began working for General Motors in 1968 and the Flint Community Schools in 1973, where he enjoyed all the students he impacted over the years. Willie was a faithful member of Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church. He loved his family, church family, many friends and he never met a stranger. Willie always had plenty of conversation and story to tell for whoever would listen. He touched many lives and his presence will be sorely missed. Mr. Willie B. Moore, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Annette O. (Jones) Moore of Grand Blanc, MI; daughter, Sherrill Moore of New York, NY; son, Eric (Alicia) Moore of Flint; 2 stepchildren, Yolanda Yarbrough of Newark, DE and Sergeant Major Melinda Yarbrough of El Paso, TX; grandchildren, Leland Yarbrough-Cotton of Grand Blanc, MI and Specialist Mario (Nekia) Yarbrough; great-grandson, Mario Yarbrough II, all of Clarksville, TN; 2 brothers, Alvin and Gerald Moore; aunt, Cloteal Coney, all of Flint; mother-in-law, Savola J. Mills; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friend, Denise Moss. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Willie B. and Evelyn Moore, Sr.; grandparents, Reuben and Millie Moore, Major and Maggie White; brothers, James and Raymond Moore; 2 aunts, Ruby Stevenson and Mildred Isabel; and uncles, Lonnie L. Coney and James White. The family would like to express special thanks to Emeritus Pastor Brady, Pastor Marvin A.
