WHITAKER, Mr. William E. II "Ernst" - Age 42, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 21, 2015 in Charleston, South Carolina. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Herbert J. Carey, Officiating. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Mr. Whitaker will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. As the youngest, he was a joyous blessing to his family possessing happy and fun-loving attributes. Early years at New Zion Baptist Church, helped formulate and inspire his respect for the Trinity; which resulted in the acceptance of Christ in his life. An avid usher, he assisted with the elderly and church engagements. His loving, playful spirit kept him “close” with siblings: Vann Oliver, Ila Rochelle, Endeé Cheree and Isha Love. He attended Flint Christian and Foss Avenue Schools with his siblings and did very well academically. As a result, he became a mortgage loan officer that finalized home purchases and home refinancing closings in the Seattle, Washington area. As a resident of Bellevue, Washington; he was in mid stages of obtaining his own company as a subsidiary LLC of Whole Foods Corporation. Politically inclined, he attended presidential functions and helped in the community. Ernie was a loyal campaign member of the Washington State Democrats. He donated his time with children in the area and attended To God Be the Glory House of Worship. His first joy was the love he had for family. His acts of love and kindness were insurmountable. Complete adoration was how he felt about being a father to his daughter and an uncle to his nieces and nephews. An undying love was proclaimed for his parents. He loved everyone due to his positive and magnetic personality. A beautiful, vibrant, positive and dynamic life legacy is treasured forever more by: father & “best friend,” Rev. William E. Whitaker I and mother, Sis. Ina C. Whitaker “his bookie bear”: He leaves to carry on his legacy: daughter; Imani (Kevin): fiancée; Jenny Saechao: siblings; Vann, Ila, Endee (Greg), Isha and Jeffrey: nieces; Bianca Reina and Raqúel Alón: nephews; Brian Keith, Nicholas Abri and Derrick Lorenzo I: great-nephews; Dailyn Alan and Derrick Lorenzo II: grandmother; Helen Whitaker: special sons; Marcus, Emilio, his “namesake” William, and Eddie: lifelong devoted sister, Velinda Outland: his loving brothers by his other loving mothers; Kevin, Reonce, Rob, Beasley, Marcos, Jeff, Joe, and Bola: spiritual parents; Rev. Dr. Herbert J. & Diane Carey: special mothers, Ms. Elma and Mrs. Betty: several aunts, uncles, and cousins from paternal/maternal lineage. He was preceded in death by grandparents; Clyde, Olive and Calvin: two brothers by other mothers, Greg and Archie: and special mother; Ms. Bess.
