HILL, Mr. William L. "Little Bill" - Age 79, passed away Friday, November 19, 2010. Family hour 10 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11 a.m., Min. Rochelle Jones officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Friday. Mr. Hill will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-6 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. William Lee “Little Bill” Hill was born December 30, 1930 in Mounds, Illinois, to Ida Mae Hill. William lived in Mounds during his childhood, completing his schooling approximately through the sixth grade. In his later childhood he migrated north of Holly, Michigan, where he was taken in by Mrs. Loma Turner “Aunt Loma”, who was his caregiver until he moved on to Flint. He married Margaret Jones (preceded him in death in 1961); there were three children in this marriage: Sue A. Hill, Rochelle L. Hill and William E. Hill, all of Flint, Michigan. Mr. Hill was employed at Chevrolet Manufacturing, a division of General Motors in 1950, and retired in 1980 with 30 years of service. He was a very good worker and a good father to his children. Mr. Hill loved hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren and visited their home on a regular basis. Mr. William Lee Hill leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Rochelle L. Jones and Sue A. (Jeryl E.) Montgomery; son, William E. Hill, all of Flint; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 aunts, Coreen Watson of West Little Rock, AR, Mattie Long and Valma Brown of Chicago, IL; 3 uncles, Albert Hill, Harry Hill of Chicago, IL and Thelbert Hill of Virginia Beach, VA; 3 sisters-in-law, Amelia Myles, Minnie Baldwin of Chicago, IL and Elzerner Ingraham of Las Vegas, NV; cousins, Delores Keith, Louis Williams and Marilyn Jackson; a host of friends, including close friend, Mrs. Phyllis Johnson, Ms. Reversal Grant, Josie, Ernestine, Emma Jenkins, Mr. Charlie, Shirley Moore, Doris Nichols, Calvin Lay, Jessie, Pete, Carlton, Raymond of Afro Knot Barber Shop, Yvonne Marshall, the Fricks and Burks families. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Hill; mother, Ida Mae Hill; mother-in-law, Mrs. O. C. Myles; grandparents, Isiah and Sarah Lee Hill; and sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruby Clay. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. S. Plensdorf, MD., Dr. Richard Denardo, Helping Hands, McLaren Hospice Care, his personal nurses and care givers.
