William Eason

EASON, Mr. William - Age 90, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Hyde Park Assisted Living in Flushing, MI. Family hour 11AM Monday, January 11, 2010 at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 12Noon, Eld. Kenneth L. Stewart officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Monday. Mr. Eason will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10AM-8PM Sunday. Mr. William Joshua Eason was born October 15, 1919 in Marianna, Arkansas, the son of Jordan and Ruby Eason. Mr. Eason attended Arkansas Public Schools. He was employed at Chevrolet Metal Fabrication, a division of General Motors Corporation for 35 years. Mr. Eason was a member of Canaan Baptist Church for over 50 years, where he served as a Trustee for 41 years. He later joined House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church to be with his wife. Mr. Eason enjoyed sports, especially baseball. He also enjoyed being with his family, great-grandchildren and his great-great-grandchildren, especially Erica Adams, “she was his heart”. Mr. William Joshua Eason leaves to cherish his memory: son, Bobby (Cheryl) Eason; grandchildren, Myron Eason of Flint, Stephania (Robert) Woods of Grand Rapids, MI, Terence and Damious Eason, both of Detroit, MI; great-grandchildren, Quetika, Creon, LeCita, Landis, Dominique, China, Briana, Shaunia, Kameron, Tytenna, Teanna and Ameriay; great-great- grandchildren, DeMyreon, Taylon and Erica; 2 sisters, Martha Monroe of Flint, Louise (Johnson) Williams; sister-in-law, Ruby Eason of Marianna, AR; brother-in-law, Eddie (Cynthia) Brown; a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Minnie Hardy and family, James and Geneva Adams, Melberta Bolds and Charlie Bush. Mr. Eason was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Eason; 1 sister; and 4 brothers. The family would like to express special thanks to Lillie McCain, Ossie Smith, Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart and the House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church family, Hyde Park Assisted Living, McLaren Hospice and Dr. Peddireddy.
