Master William Coppage

COPPAGE, William - Age 11, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Vermont Christian Church, 1201 Lippincott Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. Andre D. Powell officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort. Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Thursday. Master Coppage will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m., with family present from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday. Master William Lee Coppage was born July 2, 2003 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lee Sr. and Pamela Coppage of Flint, Michigan. He attended Burton Glen Charter Academy of Burton, Michigan, where he was a 6th grade Honor Roll Student. William enjoyed playing basketball, football, skating, swimming, playing with action figures and shooting pool. When at home spending time with his family, he loved to eat chocolate, watch SpongeBob, Dragon Ball Z or Uncle Grandpa. William also loved sneaking on the phone to call his grandma and grandpa to ask them to send money for a cheeseburger and toys! He loved his family and all of his cousins. William was an angelic type of person. A young man that showed the love of God in his smile and touched every person’s heart that he came in contact with. William was a baptized member of Vermont Christian Church D.O.C. where he served in the Youth Department, Guiding Star Usher Board, and Youth Choir. He leaves to cherish lasting memories, his loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lee and Pamela Coppage; grandparents, Leroy and Doris Young of Rocky Mountain, NC; sister, Crystal Lee Coppage of Flint, MI; brother, Charles Lee Coppage Jr. of Flint, MI; aunts, Doretha Coppage of Flint, MI, Mae Brown of Washington D.C.; uncles, Bernard (Lillie “Sadie”) Wright of Flint, MI, Lendon (Lottie) Coppage of Enfield, NC, Timothy Young of Fayetteville, NC. Along with a host of other relatives, cousins and friends. The family would like to express special thanks to Burton Glen Charter Academy, Vermont Christian Church D.O.C. family, Bernard and Lillie (Sadie) Wright, Lewis and Clementine Wright, Gloria Brown, Michigan Cross Dock, family, friends and the Brennan Park Neighborhood.
