BROWN, Mr. Warren - Age 55, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 10AM Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1610 Pierson Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Rev. James Kennedy officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Saturday. Mr. Brown will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 3PM-8PM Friday. Mr. Warren Clifton Brown was born July 21, 1951 in Jackson, Mississippi, the son of Samuel and Ruth Brown. Warren was a resident of Flint, MI. He was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where he attended Sunday School and was particularly fond of the Church's Anniversary Celebrations. What he loved most was spending time with his family and listening to music. Mr. Warren Clifton Brown leaves to cherish his memory: 3 sisters, Thelma (Ronald) Watts of San Antonio, TX, Carolyn Brown and Brenda Blackburn both of Flint; 3 brothers, Don (Janette) Brown, Kenneth (Patricia) Brown both of Flint, and Herman (Carolyn) Blackburn of Grovetown, GA; 11 nieces, Sandra and Stephon Kennedy of San Antonio, TX, Sheri Kennedy of Lawrenceville, GA, Sameckia (Nathaniel) Williams, Camiya Nicholson, Dayna Brown, Shaunta Blackburn, Tasha, Shelia, Crystal and Jasmine Baily all of Flint; 1 great-niece, Micah Kennedy; 8 nephews, Clarence Scott, Eric, Beau, Brandon and Garrett Brown, Marcellus Blackburn, Christopher and Antonio Baily all of Flint; 2 great-nephews, Vonta and Clarence Scott; 2 aunts, Mildred Simmons and Lucille Williams of Detroit; 2 cousins, Willie (Grant) Carradine; a host of many other relatives and friends including special friends, The Neff Road Group Home Family. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Samuel and Ruth Brown-Blackburn; step-parents, Herman and Palzetta Blackburn; brother, Willie Brown and sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Jodie Nicholson. The family would like to express special thanks to The Neff Road Group Home staff, The Home Avenue Workshop, Hurley and McLaren Regional and Hurley Medical Center staff and Genesee County Community Mental Health.
