Mrs. Vivian Lacy

LACY, Mrs. Vivian - Age 50, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in Woodstock, GA. Family hour 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Heavenly Host Full Gospel Baptist Church, 2202 W. Dartmouth Street with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Bishop M.C. Akins officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10 a.m. Mrs. Lacy will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 1 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Vivian Lacy was born December 27, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Geneva Humphrey and Robert Brown. As a kid, Vivian always loved to win at family games and kept laughter going. She did not want you on her team if you were not going to win. Vivian graduated from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1980”, where she played Volleyball, Baseball and was on the Cheerleading team. She was an avid sports fan and was very good at calling a game all thru her life. Vivian was in the US Army for six years; where she was stationed in Germany. Upon returning to the United States, Vivian graduated from the Hair force Academy in the 80’s and obtained a Master Cosmetology License. In 1994, she became to Owner of Lavisions Beauty Salon and operated in Flint until 1997. In 1992, Vivian met Andrew Lacy in Flint, MI. They were married in Nassau, Bahamas in 1998 and moved to Marietta, Georgia. Vivian attended Devry Institute of Technology in Georgia and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, “Class of 2001”. She became a Real Estate Agent in 2003 and most recently worked at Metro Brokers Better Home and Garden as an internet Response Team agent. She was an excellent Agent and had clients from all around the world. Vivian enjoyed cooking and was quite a cook; she also enjoyed football games, tennis games and family television. She loved going home visiting her mom and (pop) Bishop MC Akins and participating in family gatherings. Her love for God, her family and endearing people to her were qualities she had as a strong woman of faith. Vivian would always reply that her children were Yasmeen and Andrew Jr.; she also loved her Stacie and Brandy and although family pets; she treated them as her children as well. Special acknowledgement to Anthony Humphrey, Vivian’s brother who displayed nothing less than a heroic support with love for his family. Whereas, Vivian was so moved by as challenges mounted in the last few months.
